Island Routes Strengthening Ties With Travel Advisors

On the heels of introducing new travel styles that offer private and customizable experiences throughout the Caribbean, travel company Island Routes is looking to reinvigorate its relationship with travel advisors through a multi-city roadshow planned for North America.

“Sun, sand and sea is synonymous with the Caribbean vacation, but it’s not the only experience available," said David Black, head of global sales of Island Routes. "Travel advisors will be integral to the sales proposition as we offer new ways for travelers to discover and authentically explore the region. Advisors have been integral in growing our business to what it is today, and will continue to play an important role in our relationship with customers for years to come.”

Led by Black, Director of Sales Ron Veno and Island Routes CEO Ryan Terrier, scheduled roadshows will highlight the company’s all-new Private and Bespoke Collections, which offer advisors opportunities to fully customize and tailor their clients’ personalized itineraries or choose from carefully-curated, tried and tested, guided Jamaican experiences.

In Jamaica, local experts are on hand to create such moments as bamboo rafting down the Martha Brae followed by an authentic steel drum serenade and local lunch prepared riverside by a private chef; or a hike that takes guests through the lush tropical forest of the Blue Mountains and a private tour and tasting at a family-owned Blue Mountain coffee estate.

Throughout the Caribbean, private tours also offer travelers the chance to enjoy some of Island Routes' most adored tours all to themselves including private catamarans, tours exploring the ocean blues via snorkeling excursions and opportunities to swim with the famed pigs of the Exumas. Advisors are supported by a full-service, on-the-ground concierge team that are able to translate local expertise into curated tours, ensuring the experience meets and exceeds client expectations.

Scheduled roadshows include:

  • Houston, TX: Tuesday, July 25 at Pinestrips Houston
  • San Antonio,TX: Wednesday, July 26 at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse San Antonio
