Re•Think South America Travel Show Coming To New York

Re•Think Travel Marketing has announced that its new annual trade show, the Re•think South America Travel Show, launched in partnership with LATAM, will debut in New York City from May 19-20, 2022, at the Kimpton Hotel Eventi. With a focus on expanding and strengthening the South American travel market amid the coronavirus pandemic, the inaugural event will convene South America’s biggest travel brands and destinations with a network of pre-qualified advisors from across North America and Canada.

More than 50 exhibitors are expected to attend the annual event, including the national tourism boards of Brazil (Embratur), Chile (Sernatur), Colombia (ProColombia), and Peru (PromPerú), signaling a commitment across the region that South America is back and ready for business.

The Re•think South America Travel Show will serve as a special edition of Re•think Travel’s virtual trade shows. This year’s event will adapt all the core components of past virtual shows to fit the new in-person setting. Attendees partake in pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings; in-depth destination trainings; expert-led inspirational talks; and Q&A sessions on topics relevant to today’s travelers to South America. New highlights at the event include additional networking opportunities such as lunch- and cocktail-hour sessions and tailored roundtable discussions to facilitate new connections and business prospects. LATAM Airlines is also offering special amplifications for high-level show sponsors, including presence on its “Vamos” newsletter, and discounted flights to New York for the event.

Presented in a two-stage format (virtual and in-person) to allow flexibility for all attendees and their individual travel circumstances, the virtual edition of the show wrapped on February 24, 2022. More than 52 suppliers across eight South American countries were among attendees, along with nearly 300 buyers.

Registration for the Re•think South America Travel Show is open until April 28. Event attendance is free for buyers and media.
