Travel Advisor Wins Carnival Cruise at WUATA Party

At Carnival Cruise Line’s "Why Use a Travel Advisor" (WUATA) Party in Toronto, Canada, last week, the line awarded a cruise to one lucky travel advisor in attendance. Heather Haynes of Nexion Canada won the prize and will get to embark on a seven-day cruise for two in a balcony cabin.

The event was part of Carnival’s yearlong WUATA program aimed at helping travel professionals attract new clients and deepen the loyalty of existing clients. During the Toronto event, Carnival premiered the latest endeavor in its Why Use a Travel Advisor campaign — a five-part video series featuring travel advisors and their clients sharing travel tales that tell the “WUATA Story.” Two of the agent/client duos were in attendance in Toronto, along with industry executives sharing their insights into the advisor-client relationship.

In other related news, Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its yearlong WUATA program with a new website, a WUATA brochure and a WUATA Facebook page. The three new online tools will feature client testimonials, videos, the option to nominate travel agent’s for prizes, such as Carnival Cruise Line’s Mardi Gras cruise, and more. The expansion aims to promote the value of travel advisors.
