Eurobound Launches New Tour for France First-Timers

Eurobound has launched a new independent package for first-time travelers to France. The 12-day “Promenade Through France” itinerary includes four- and five-star accommodations, private and small-group tours and a seven-day car rental. Included are four nights in Paris, three nights each in Normandy and the Loire Valley, and a final night in Chantilly. Highlights include the D-Day beaches of Normandy, a food tour of Montmartre and a wine tasting in the Loire Valley.

The package begins in Paris with two private and three small-group guided experiences. A private food tour of Montmartre and a privately guided visit to the Louvre introduce guests to diverse aspects of the city. Small-group experiences include the Eiffel Tower and a Seine cruise, a half-day visit to Versailles and a sightseeing excursion with lunch onboard a luxury coach.

Following four days in Paris, Eurobound guests pick up their rental car for a day’s drive to Normandy and three nights in an 18th-century chateau. To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, an included full-day, small-group tour visits Omaha and Utah Beaches. The visit also includes the American Cemetery, the Pointe du Hoc U.S. Ranger monument and Sainte-Mere Eglise, where American paratroopers landed in 1944.

St. Michel with its abbey and fortifications, cobblestone streets and half-timber houses, is on the following day’s itinerary. Guests can either explore the island on their own or join an optional small-group tour. The eighth day begins with a drive to Chenonceau in the Loire Valley, and three nights in a country inn close to the chateau. Highlighting the stay is a full-day guided tour of Chenonceau and Chambord Chateaus with a visit to Les Caves Ambacia and wine tasting.

A day at leisure for individual explorations follows, before the next day’s drive to Chantilly on the outskirts of Paris. The itinerary concludes with an overnight at the five-star Auberge du Jeu de Paume, before driving to Charles de Gaulle Airport for rental car drop-off and the flight home.

The package includes hotel accommodations with daily breakfast, touring at each destination, an airport-to-hotel transfer upon arrival, and a rental car with automatic transmission.
