NCL, Carnival Drop JoyStar

Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) and Carnival Cruise Lines have stopped doing business with TravelStar/JoyStar, the controversial host agency. The moves follow the December 31, 2008 filing of an Involuntary Bankruptcy proceeding against JoyStar in Federal Bankruptcy court. Related Links

In a statement, NCL said: “Effective immediately, NCL has chosen not to continue its business relationship with Joystar Cruises. The company will no longer accept new reservations from Joystar or any of its affiliated agents. NCL will continue to service existing Joystar reservations booked prior to January 5, 2009.”

Meanwhile, Carnival confirmed that it has placed JoyStar on a “do not book status.” Carnival said it is “no longer accepting business from them based on continuing concerns over the  commission payments to JoyStar agents.” Carnival made the decision January 7.

CARD MILLS HAVE BEEN AROUD FOR OVER A DECADE WHEN AGENCIES AND A FEW COMPUTER GEEKS FIGURED OUT THAT THEY COULD LEGALLY PROSTITUTE THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY BY SELLING A LESSON PROGRAM, SIGNING UP ANYONE AS AN OUTSIDE AGENT ENABLING THEM TO GET AGENT DISCOUNTS AND FREEBEES AND FLOODING THE MARKET WITH DEMANDING NON-AGENTS. UNFORTUNATELY MOST SUPPLIERS DECIDED THEY WANTED THIS NEW FOUND BUSINESS AND WELCOMED THESE PSEUDO AGENTS ON THEIR TRIPS AND CRUISES. THERE WERE SOME THAT REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE CARD MILLS BUT NOT ENOUGH TO SHUT THE MILLS DOWN.DO THE MATH AND SEE HOW MUCH THESE MILLS MADE ON 5THE THOUANDS WHO SIGNED UP AT $495. A POP.

THERE WERE PROTESTS,SUMMITS,LETTER CAMPAIGNS,VISITS TO CONGRESS AND OTHER GOV'T OFFICIALS, ETC TO FIGHT THIS
SCOURGE BUT TO NO AVAIL. IT WAS LEGAL UNLESS FRAUD WAS COMMITTED.

DESIGNATIONS WERE INVESTIGATED TO SEPARATE THE CARD HOLDER FROM GENUINE AGENCIES AND AGENTS BUT THAT NEVER CQME TO PASS. NO ORGANIZATION OR GOV'T WAS ABLE TO STOP THIS.

Just spoke with the AG's office in California and they need more complaints.

Although they have several they need more to launch a full investigation of fraud and criminal misconduct. The women insinuated they were almost at what they need.

This may not result in any monetary gain but could result in criminal charges.

    Please Help!!!!
