Several travel companies have announced deals in honor of Veterans Day, observed Wednesday, November 11. Here’s a roundup:

Emerald Waterways and Scenic

Emerald Waterways river cruise lines salute U.S. military personnel, veterans and their families with a bonus savings offer of an additional 10 percent off the cost of any 2021 and 2022 European river cruise—double its standing benefit of 5 percent savings. The benefit may be combined with the most recent Emerald Waterways offers, including up to $2,500 off per couple or free round-trip airfare on 2021 sailings. Paying in full within 14 days of booking reduces the fare by $400 per guest and all bookings come with the “Book with Confidence” program, providing guests with additional flexibility and peace of mind with a free “Deposit Protection Plan” (value $125) and deposits reduced by 50 percent. Good on new bookings made between November 9-13, 2020 with code MILITARY1; military identification is required.

Scenic is offering active and retired military a Veteran’s Day salute with 10 percent off any 2021 or 2022 river cruise. This includes all European, Russian and Mekong sailings. The savings is combinable with most current Scenic offers, including free Premium Economy flights for sailings of 11 or more days and free Economy flights on eight- to 10-day itineraries, and Business Class air for only $1,995 per guest. Paying in full within 14 days of booking reduces the fare by $500 per guest—and all bookings come with the new “Book with Confidence” program, providing guests with additional flexibility and peace of mind with a free “Deposit Protection Plan” (value $125) and deposits reduced 50 percent. This is for new bookings made between November 10 and 17, 2020 under code MILITARY; military identification is required.

The discount applies to active military personnel from all branches of the U.S. military; first responders, including paramedics, firefighters and police officers; medical professionals who serve in America’s hospitals and medical offices; and their family members.

The "Frontline Travel Discount" program provides 10 percent savings year-round on air-inclusive vacation packages, cruise packages or hotel packages to all Pleasant Holidays and Journese destinations worldwide. There are no blackout dates for travel and no minimum or maximum vacation price per booking. In addition, bookings are commissionable to travel advisors at 10 percent. Purchase of Pleasant Holidays’ or Journese’ “Cancel-For-Any-Reason Travel Protection Plan” is recommended because it includes COVID-19 coverage and 100 percent commission protection.

The "Frontline Travel Discount" program applies to active U.S. healthcare professionals, paramedics, police officers and firefighters, as well as to those on active duty or active reserve in the U.S. armed forces or attending U.S. military academies, and U.S. military personnel who have been honorably discharged within 30 days of travel.

In honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11, Red Lion Hotels (RHL) Corporation is giving a thank you to all active and retired military personnel with 15 percent off room rates, plus 15 bonus “Hello Bucks” for Hello Rewards members (RLH Corporation’s customer loyalty program). The booking window is November 11 through December 7, 2020 for stays from November 11 to December 31, 2020.
