Paul Gauguin Cruises Announces 2023/24 “Moana Explorer Program”

Paul Gauguin Cruises will host its “Moana Explorer Program” for younger guests and their families on 21 dedicated summer and holiday sailings in 2023 and 2024. Geared towards youngsters aged seven to 15, the complimentary program is offered in collaboration with Te mana o te moana, a South Pacific marine education and conservation foundation. It is designed to engage children with hands-on, interactive activities both onboard and ashore.

From visiting a sea turtle care center to playing real-life beach “Survivor” games, hiking volcanic mountains, and snorkeling in lagoons, the program offers a range of activities for children. Depending on the itinerary, the youngsters might explore underwater life, conduct water experiments, create natural jewelry, go on a treasure hunt, learn about Tahitian culture, discover island legends and geology, design a Polynesian tattoo, and more.

The “Moana Explorer Program” is available on the following summer and holiday voyages in 2023 and 2024:

  • Seven-night “Tahiti & the Society Islands” – June 10, June 17, June 24, July 22, and August 26 (2023); June 22 and July 27 (2024)
  • Seven-night “More Society Islands & Tahiti” – June 29, July 20 and August 17 (2024)
  • 10-night “Society Islands & Tuamotus” – July 12, 2023
  • 11-night “Cook Islands & Society Islands” – July 1, 2023
  • 14-night “Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands” – July 29, August 12, December 16 and December 30 (2023)
  • 14-night “Islands of the Marquesas & Tuamotus” – June 8, July 6, August 3, August 24 and December 21 (2024)

“It is a special delight to foster an appreciation of Tahitian culture, wildlife, and wilderness among the guests of Paul Gauguin Cruises,” said Hélène Duran, general manager at Te mana o te moana. “Through travel comes knowledge and we hope the experiences in French Polynesia will leave a long-lasting impression on these younger adventurers as we know they are the future custodians of our planet.”

There is no fee for the program, which is available to be booked onboard, as it is part of Paul Gauguin Cruises’ all-inclusive fares.

Deal: For a limited time, travelers can save up to 30 percent on voyages through the ports of Tahiti and surrounding islands in all-inclusive trips aboard m/s Paul Gauguin.
