Florida-based travel agencies Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc.—all part of World Travel Holdings—have announced a new program that rewards loyal customers called Loyalty Cruise Perks. In order to be eligible for the rewards, customers must book a cruise vacation within 30 days of returning from another cruise, and then set sail once again within the next 18 months.
The new program allows eligible cruisers to select one of four perks for their future voyages. The four perks include credit towards a full shore excursion, a Resort for a Day experience, onboard credit or a free hotel stay.
Rosemarie Reed, vice president of sales and marketing for World Travel Holdings states “We recognize that acquiring a new customer costs about six to seven times more than retaining an existing one.” However, Reed also concedes “it is just as important if not more so, to reward our loyal customers to keep them returning back to their travel agent.” Reed is “confident [Loyalty Cruise Perks] will be a win with customers who want more than the standard onboard credit, and appreciate being valued and recognized for their loyal business.”
Dream Vacations franchise owner Rick Tashjian corroborates, saying the program was designed through cooperation between the travel agent community and World Travel Holdings’ corporate marketing and sales team.
Besides its new loyalty program, Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. are also looking to expand the World Travel Holdings network by offering personalized management, technology and marketing resources to individual travel agency businesses.
