Windstar Cruises Hires Two New Sales Team Members

Windstar Cruises has added two new members to its sales team, appointing Roger Arden as the West Coast regional sales manager, and Brenda Skogen as new sales coordinator.

Based in Los Angeles, Arden is responsible for maintaining and growing Windstar’s business with a focus on the West Coast of the United States, while Skogen is the primary point of contact within the sales department for Windstar’s valued travel advisor partners. She is based in Denver, Colorado.

Arden has a long history in the travel business, most recently working with Quark Expeditions, where he sold polar expedition cruises. Previously, he has held sales/business development positions at Carnival, Uniworld and AmaWaterways. He is a self-described “travel junkie who loves learning about unique cultures, meeting like-minded people and is always in-the-midst of planning the next trip.”

Skogen has been helping people travel the world her entire career. Most recently, she owned a cruise-focused franchise travel agency in Colorado. She has vacationed and cruised dozens of times, sailing with multiple cruise lines across a range of products and destinations. She believes there is always another voyage to experience and says “my love of traveling, and more importantly my excitement about helping others experience this amazing world in which we live, grows with each new adventure.”

“We feel so lucky to have Brenda and Roger join our team,” said Steve Simao, Windstar’s vice president of sales, in a press release. “They are both knowledgeable, enthusiastic cruise travel professionals who will continue to support our Star Promise commitment to travel advisors while they help educate travel advisors on how to successfully sell Windstar’s small ship difference and the nuances of our classic Wind class and all-suite Star Plus class yachts. We want to be the small ship cruise line of choice for travel advisors and Brenda and Roger will be integral to making this happen through our personalized sales approach and I know they’re up for the challenge.”
