Aimbridge Hospitality has unveiled the concept for the second resort opening at Frenchman’s Reef as part of a $425 million rebuild project on the property. Morningstar Buoy Haus Beach Resort, an Autograph Collection Hotel, is scheduled for a spring 2023 debut.

Steps from the white sand beach and turquoise waters of Frenchman’s Reef, St. Thomas, the resort will have a beachfront lobby and 94 guestrooms, including two suites. The resort will offer a mix of beachfront and ocean-side accommodations. The resort will showcase a range of social spaces, including the Sandbar for ice-cold cocktails and Salt Shack Beach Bar & Grill, a beach club retreat serving light bites and beverages. Buoy Haus will also provide a beach experience with signature beach butlers, handcrafted cocktails and island-inspired bites.

Guests can also lounge at the exclusive Tide Pool Cabanas & Bar, the resort’s infinity-edge oceanfront pool with private cabanas, poolside service and a swim-up bar with in-water seating.

Buoy Haus will also offer 13,000 square feet of meeting and event space for intimate group functions. Guests will also have full access to the amenities offered at The Westin Beach Resort & Spa at Frenchman’s Reef—slated to open spring 2023, as well—including an expansive pool deck with a pool bar and cabanas, a range of destination-inspired restaurants and lounges, Heavenly Spa by Westin with 12 treatment rooms, WestinWORKOUT health club, private dock to access a multitude of secluded islands, private adventure beach with abundant programming for all ages, retail shopping outlets, and 72,000 square feet of additional meeting and event space.

The two resorts will be connected via a shared stretch of Morningstar Beach, where guests will discover additional social and event spaces, such as Palm Court, with year-round programming for all ages. Frenchman’s Reef will also provide guests access to the on-site private catamaran, the Flying Frenchman, with a capacity of up to 125 persons for daytime snorkel trips and evening sunset sails.
