Hilton Waikoloa Village Unveils New Room Categories

Hilton Waikoloa Village in Hawaii has updated its premium tower, Makai, with new room categories and a selection of exclusive amenities and thoughtful service enhancements. Guests can enjoy the best location across the entire resort, located near popular attractions such as the saltwater lagoon, Kona Pool, the Legends of Hawaii Luau and the Kohala Spa.

Upon arrival, Makai guests proceed to a dedicated check-in area in the main lobby. A private entrance to the tower from the resort parking area offers easy access to and from Makai. Upgrades include fast-track luggage service and a dedicated concierge to assist guests with queries, island activities and services such as preferred reservations at the resort’s restaurants. The Makai digital concierge is also conveniently accessible via smartphone.

Makai offers spacious, studio apartment-sized, 530-square-foot guestrooms. The rooms are fitted with woods, linens, natural stone accents, quartz countertops, dual sinks and custom-designed back-lit vanity mirrors. Amenities include bath products from Kohala Spa made with island botanicals; plush robes; use of a beach bag; a souvenir and an environmentally friendly water bottle. Extra facilities include text messages that keep guests updated on the latest resort info and an in-room kukui nut lei welcome gift.

The tower’s room categories have been revamped to offer a range of features. Guests can now choose rooms from five categories: Makai Oceanfront offers direct views of the Pacific and the surrounding resort area. Makai Ocean rooms have views overlooking Hilton Waikoloa Village’s ocean-fed lagoon in addition to partial ocean views. A new category, Garden Lanai rooms are located on the ground floor and have a spacious layout. The lanais are larger than standard rooms, have a chaise lounge and open up on to the oceanside lawn. Makai Resort rooms offer views of the island’s mountain ranges and the resort area. Makai Suites are one-bedroom suites, offering 1,060 square feet with two private lanais and views over the dolphin lagoon; these suites are equipped with a king bed and a queen-sized sofa bed in the living area. The Makai Nai’a and Naupaka suites have a 1,680-square-foot, split-level space with a large private lanai overlooking the dolphin lagoon. The suites include a king bed, queen-sized sofa bed, two full baths and kitchenette with mini fridge and microwave.
