Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa Completes Second Phase of Reno

Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa in South Carolina has completed its second phase of renovation, which included the refresh of its entryway and accommodations. The first phase of the makeover focused on the resort’s public spaces, culinary outlets and event space.

The exterior of all buildings on premises have been painted using a coating technology to withstand the salt air environment on Hilton Head Island. The resort’s entry and porte-cochere now has a newly resurfaced driveway entrance with herringbone pedestrian and vehicle pavers. The porte-cochere has been completely rewired with new LED architectural accent lighting, while new light sconces have been added underneath and around the main entrance.

The resort’s 513 guestrooms and suites, including the Presidential Suite and four Vice Presidential Suites, have also been updated. Guests can expect new entryway tiles, vanities, tiled-in showers, carpet, room paint and mural headboards. Each guestroom has ocean or island views, which can be enjoyed from large-format windows.

Additionally, each guestroom has wall and lamp outlets outfitted with USB ports for multiple electronic devices; bedding with cotton-rich linens and fluffy pillows; high-speed Wi-Fi and a large desk with a well-lit workspace, comfortable chair and plug-in panels; 50-inch flat-panel TVs with the “Marriott Entertainment Package,” including premium cable and movie channels; in-room coffee bar; and back-lit vanity mirror and full-length mirrors.

Owned and managed by Columbia Sussex, the Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island is located in the residential community of Palmetto Dunes. Guests will have access to the three miles of beach, three PGA golf courses, 2,000 acres of lush surroundings and outdoor activities. Facilities include bike rentals and water sports, along with a full-service marina, tennis and pickleball center, and a 11-mile lagoon system for kayaking and fishing.

Located across from Palmetto Dunes on 285 acres of saltwater coastline, the Shelter Cove Community includes Shelter Cove Harbour, Shelter Cove Plaza, and the new Shelter Cove Towne Centre. Open and accessible, with an abundance of bike paths and pedestrian walkways, Shelter Cove Community offers visitors and residents a playground of dining, shopping, nightlife, boating, water sports and excursions, theater, picnics and festivals.
