Introducing: Hotel Bardo Savannah

Left Lane has unveiled Hotel Bardo Savannah, a Leading Hotels of the World property and formerly the Mansion on Forsyth Park. By way of backstory, the New York City-based hotel and real-estate company acquired the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA in 2022 for $52.5 million. Under the new ownership, the historic 126-key property underwent a multimillion-dollar phased transformation and expansion project. The project becomes the flagship property for the Bardo brand, paving the way for Left Lane’s expansion of the brand into additional high-growth secondary U.S. markets over the next five years.

Upon reopening, Hotel Bardo Savannah will have 149 guestrooms, including 20 suites, as well as an 82-foot pool and bar (Bar Bibi), and a gym and spa. Also on the F&B side, the hotel will be led by Italian restaurant, Saint Bibiana, in addition to The Courtyard and The Green Room lobby bar and the membership-based Club Bardo. Event spaces, including the Carriage House and The Ballroom, will span 3,500 square feet in total.

Saint Bibiana, the resort’s coastal Italian restaurant and cooking school, will open this September, leading the reopening of the property. The 140-seat restaurant offers indoor and outdoor garden seating, complete with 21 seats at the bar. Executive Chef Derek Simcik sits at the culinary helm for the property at large. His menus at Saint Bibiana reflect a modern approach to classic coastal Italian cuisine. Saint Bibiana’s beverage program includes cocktails and aperitifs that highlight the various coastal regions of Italy, alongside non-alcoholic drinks and classic craft cocktails. The restaurant will also have an extensive, low intervention wine program that showcases the developments in viticulture happening throughout Italy.

This will be followed by the resort's opening in February 2024. Left Lane’s forthcoming transformation of Savannah’s Manger Building will follow the hotel opening, bringing a new lifestyle hotel and clubhouse concept to the market that Left Lane will also scale. Hotel Bardo is the fourth project in Savannah for Left Lane’s managing partner, Jon Kully.
