Mainsail Lodging & Development has announced the July 18 opening of Mello on the Beach, a modern, new beachfront retreat on Anna Maria Island on Florida’s gulf coast. Situated directly on the island’s Manatee Beach, the retreat offers 11 one-, two- and three-bedroom vacation rental units, each decorated to reflect the colors of the sun, sea, and sunset. With a retro vibe, the secluded escape, just steps from the sandy white beach, is a well-suited spot for beachgoers, families, couples, and solo travelers. Mello on the Beach is owned by Tampa-based Dahl Investments and managed by Mainsail Vacation Rentals.
With playful names such as Sol Mate, Hip Nautic, and Vitamin Sea, the units offer a fully equipped kitchenette with refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, dishware, blender, coffeemaker, and toaster. Adaptable to fit the needs of the guest, all units include a terrazzo dining table that doubles as storage, movable ottomans, and a sleeper sofa in the living area. Units also feature full dressers with an in-drawer safe, hidden washer and dryer, exposed shelves and hanging rods, and a cooler for beach and pool days. Depending on which unit they choose, guests can lounge and unwind on the front terrace and either their own personal patio, balcony, or porch. Some units also feature ocean views, a private outdoor shower, and dedicated luggage storage space.
Property amenities include a pool area with cool places to lounge and an outdoor shower; communal BBQ grills and fire pit; a lawn with private beach access and room for games and hanging out; and Mello bike rentals to explore the island using the convenient Zybra app. Guests can also bring their pets as the property is pet-friendly.
