Mexico Grand Hotels Offers Baja-Inspired Spa Treatments

This summer, visitors can enjoy Baja-inspired treatments at Mexico Grand Hotels properties—Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences, Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa and Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences.

Located at the Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences, the Milagro Wellness Spa offers treatments based on Mexican rituals. Guests can book treatments named after the flowers of Mexico, including the dahlia, amaranth, sunflower and cempasúchil. Following the treatment, visitors can head to the spa’s open-air pool for views of the ocean and mountains.

The “Pacific Mare” is an 80-minute treatment that incorporates the use of a Ayurvedic massage oil and a seaweed facial. While the oil warms the body, the facial cools and moisturizes the skin. Other treatments include a lava shell massage, an agave and tepezcohuite peel-off mask, a chocolate body wrap, and tequila and salt exfoliation. The “Mayan Massage” incorporates ancient techniques to heal the mind and body. The temazcal, a traditional steam house, is also available at the Milagro Wellness Spa.

Guests can also avail of the temazcal experience at the Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences. The ritual is led by a temazcalero, or shaman, and features singing, herbs, steam and intentions combined with the power of the four elements, to purify the body, mind and spirit. This hour-long experience is available on Fridays at 4 pm for a total of four guests.

Guests staying at Marina Fiesta Resort can visit the new Amura Spa. Visitors can opt for a “Seashells of the Desert” ritual, which features a massage with warm seashells filled with minerals, sea salt and essential oils. After a day by the pool, guests can enjoy a 50-minute “After Sun Facial” that soothes, hydrates and restores skin. Guests can also add 50- and 80-minute massages to the schedule.
