Tafer Hotels & Resorts Announces First “Made in Mexico” Event

Tafer Hotels & Resorts has announced its “Made in Mexico” event, celebrating Mexico’s independence month in September. The festival will comprise culinary, wellness and cultural events and activities for guests to enjoy at the group’s all-inclusive properties throughout Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta.

“Made in Mexico” will be held from September 1-30, 2022 at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & SpaHotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta, Villa del Palmar Cancun, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun and Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos.

“Made in Mexico” will include a range of culinary events. These are inclusive of special menus at each of the property’s signature restaurants; poolside welcome drinks and small bites featuring regional ingredients; interactive mezcal and tequila tastings, besides classes with local tequila makers; cooking lessons where guests can learn to make guacamole, desserts and mole; and dedicated days to ancestral Mexican foods, when guests can enjoy live cooking demonstrations coupled with storytelling and regional culinary lessons.

Guests of all ages will get the chance to participate in culturally enriching activities that pay homage to Mexican heritage. From Tafer’s “Family Program” to musical performances and beachside fiestas, guests can choose from a range of activities. For families traveling with little ones, resorts will be offering hands-on crafts and activities at the Kids’ Club, including Papel picado décor, “Make Your Own Piñatas,” Luchador masks and Huichol figures, and in-depth ceramics classes, to name a few.

Exclusive to the Cancun region during “Made in Mexico,” wellness enthusiasts visiting Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun and Villa del Palmar Cancun can book a “Mayan Healing Treatment” throughout September. The bespoke treatment will include a Mayan healing ritual, a Rebozo massage, and the incorporation of Cancun’s indigenous ingredients, such as agave and cacao.

The events and activities will be complimentary for guests who purchase the “Gourmet Culinary All-Inclusive Plan” and will include a mezcal welcome kit, in-suite daily traditional coffee “Café de Olla,” and a romantic ritual massage for two, among others. Those who purchase the “European Plan” will have to pay an additional fee for certain festivities and events.
