Pleasant Holidays Adds Service for Small Groups

Pleasant Holidays has announced it has enhanced its Groups Department with the addition of Boutique Groups. Starting with groups needing as few as three rooms, Pleasant Holidays’ Boutique Groups is aimed at booking the travel needs of small groups for destination weddings, family reunions, birthday celebrations, corporate offsite meetings and more.

“Our Boutique Groups offers flexibility and varying itineraries to accommodate the needs of smaller groups,” said Jack E. Richards, Pleasant Holidays president and CEO, in a written statement. “No contract is required and no one person is financially responsible for the entire group, yet the group still has access to complimentary concessions such as free rooms or room upgrades at select resorts—perks that are traditionally reserved for larger group bookings.”

Pleasant Holidays’ specialized Boutique Groups agents work exclusively on FIT Groups and provide insights on current promotions, requirements, resort features and more to help travel advisors select the resort that best fits the needs of their small groups. They book all travel components needed—flights, transfers and car rentals, hotel accommodations and activities—on one reservation plus liaison with the hotel and destination management company on the group’s needs. Travel protection coverage is also available.

After the initial set up, the travel advisor receives commission while group members book the travel components directly with their Pleasant Holidays Boutique Groups contact. Additional benefits for small groups with stays of four nights or longer include exclusive booking bonuses of $25 off per booking at all hotels and resorts in Pleasant Holidays’ portfolio, or up to $75 off per booking for wedding groups at select participating hotels. In addition, travel advisors receive points redeemable for personal travel with TRIP, Pleasant Holidays’ travel reward incentive program.

Pleasant Holidays is a member of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) and an active member of the United States Tour Operator Association (USTOA) and participates in the $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program.
