Pleasant Holidays Expands Military Discount Program

In advance of the nation’s 2018 Veterans Day celebrations, Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand, Journese, announced they have expanded their Military Discount program to include all U.S. police officers and firefighters. The new Military, Police & Firefighter Discount provides 10 percent savings year-round to all those who serve in America’s armed forces, police forces and firefighting agencies, and their immediate families.

The new discount applies to vacations to Australia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, Hawaii, Japan and Asia, Mexico, New Zealand, the South Pacific, United Arab Emirates, United States and Canada as well as cruise vacations worldwide, including river cruises in Europe and the United States, according to Jack E. Richards, President and CEO. The discount is valid on air-inclusive vacation packages, ocean and river cruise packages or hotel packages, and is commissionable to travel agents at 10 percent. There are no blackout dates.

Originally launched in July 2011, the Military Travel Discount program has provided more than half a million dollars in vacation savings to military personnel and their family members from all service branches—Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy and their respective guard and reserve units.

The new Military, Police & Firefighter Discount program applies to active U.S. police officers and firefighters, as well as those on active duty, active reserve or attending the military academies, and military personnel who have been honorably discharged within 30 days of travel.

The Military, Police & Firefighter Discount must be booked through the Pleasant Holidays call center at 1-800-448-3333 or through a Journese Destination Specialist by calling 1-800-442-9244. Military, police or firefighter I.D. must be presented at time of booking; commission standard terms and conditions apply.

Pleasant Holidays is a member of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) and an active member of the United States Tour Operator Association (USTOA) and participates in the $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program.
