Sceptre Vacations Launches New Tools for Travel Agents

Sceptre Vacations, which was recently reacquired by DH Enterprise and Associates, the owner of Great Value Vacations, is launching several new tools designed to increase travel agent efficiency and revenue.

“We’ve spent time studying travel agent’s pain points: the parts of their business they found hard to accomplish,” said Ben Block, CEO of DH Enterprise & Associates, in a written statement. “With this new platform, we offer travel agents an approach that allows them to keep clients engaged when they are not traveling, entice clients to look at vacation options and quickly and easily create custom itineraries in ways never seen before.”

Sharing Content

Sceptre enables travel agents to share hundreds of travel articles ranging from local city guides to pieces such as “How to deal with Jet Lag” and “The Best Bakeries in Paris.” The articles come with high definition images and are mobile friendly. When a travel agent shares an article with their client, the article is automatically branded to that agent and their agency.

Choose Between Pre-Built Vacations or Custom FIT

Clients can enjoy pre-built offerings that can include flights, itineraries, complete pricing, pictures and maps of hotels, tours, cars, rail options, transfers between cities and hotel transfers. Agents can choose from over 450 pre-built packages to over 40 countries. Each vacation produces a unique online itinerary for clients, including destination content to excite them about the trip. Agents can add a booking fee that can be built into the package price.

Sceptre’s new booking engine dubbed “PerfectFIT” allows agents to build a custom, multi-city vacation in minutes. The platform is simple and follows the logical flow of an itinerary. The booking engine also offers the flexibility to modify any component at any time. Requotes are as easy as clicking one button without having to rebuild any part of the package.

Closing the Sale

Each custom online itinerary comes fully branded to the agent and their agency so that only their name and phone number appear on the pages. Sharing the itinerary with a client is as easy as entering an email address into a box. The agent gets an email alert when the client has viewed the custom itinerary which lets the agent know it is time to follow up. Once clients give the okay, the package can be converted into a booking quickly with just passenger info and a credit card deposit. Agents can include comments to the various services such as “this is a honeymoon” or requesting a “lower floor room.”

A Pledge for Travel Agents

Sceptre has published a pledge that outlines its promise to travel agents. This includes never marketing directly to customers of the travel agents or communicating with them without the travel agent’s contact info being included.

“As part of our research, we saw how hard travel agents work to build and maintain their relationships with their clients. We don’t want to get in the way of that,” says Block. “On the contrary, our approach is to empower travel agents to cement the bonds with their clients by helping them satisfy their client needs again and again.”

Sceptre’s Travel Agent Booking Incentive

The company is offering a $50 Amazon gift card for any travel agents first completed booking using the PerfectFIT booking engine. To qualify, the agent must complete the booking online and do so by November 15, 2018. Agents must be registered on www.sceptrevacations.com in order to use the PerfectFIT engine. Qualified agents will receive the gift card in time for Cyber Monday shopping.
