Classic Journeys Adds Six New Itineraries for 2019-2020

Classic Journeys announced it will offer six new small-group adventures in 2019 and 2020. Debuting as soon as this June, these new additions will visit destinations in South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

The eight-day Easter Island, Atacama & Vineyards package takes travelers to Chile, where they will explore the Atacama Desert, walk around the ancient statues at Easter Island, and tour the vineyards of the Casablanca valley. Classic Journeys will provide two departure dates this year, one on June 30 and another September 22.

The Cartagena, Coffee & the Coast tour will last seven days and explore the cities and rainforests of Colombia. Stops include the urban centers of Medellin and Cartagena, as well as the gold sand beaches and jungle at Tayrona National Park. The tour company will offer the trip three times this year, departing June 30, August 4 and September 22.

Split between London and Paris, the seven-day Capital Cities & Countryside will include a private-access visit to Stonehenge, a Harry Potter-themed afternoon tea in London, a family cruise on the River Seine and a bike ride around the Palace of Versailles. Classic Journeys has announced two dates for this itinerary: July 14 and August 4.

Travelers taking the Cape Town, Vineyards & Safari trip will go on a safari, visit a vineyard for wine tasting, and see the Cape of Good Hope and Robben Island. Departure dates include July 30, October 7 and December 28.

In Nepal, the Himalayan Villages & Chitwan Safari package offers tours of the nation’s religious capitals Kathmandu and Bhaktapur, visits to smaller villages and temples and a safari adventure at Chitwan National Park, the home of Nepal’s one-horned rhinoceros. Classic Journeys will offer the tour twice, with trips beginning November 11 and December 19.

Late next year, Classic Journeys will offer the eight-day Total Solar Eclipse of the Sun 2020 in Chile. Beginning on December 12, 2020, the itinerary will center around the December 14 total eclipse, but also include visits to Santiago, the Maipo Valley and the island of Chiloé.
