Hotel Healdsburg Announces New Winter Offerings

Hotel Healdsburg, a luxury boutique property located in Healdsburg, CA’s downtown, has announced two winter experiences. The property’s new "Fish Trail Tour" provides a glimpse into the region’s coho salmon and steelhead trout migration, while the "Wine Country Mushroom Foraging Adventure" pairs guests with an expert mushroom forager for a hands-on hunt for wild mushrooms at Notre Vue Estate & Winery

Fish Trail Tour

Winter in northern Sonoma County offers a rare glimpse into the native coho salmon and steelhead trout migration and local creek restoration projects, including one on Foss Creek that runs behind Hotel Healdsburg, and the establishment of the Warm Springs Fish Hatchery deep in the Dry Creek Valley are helping bring back these endangered fish populations. In partnership with the Russian Riverkeepers, Hotel Healdsburg’s "Fish Trail Tour" allows guests to follow the fish trail with a knowledgeable guide before stopping at the organic Martorana Family Winery for wine tasting and an optional Creekside picnic.

Guests will learn about the winery’s fish-friendly farming practices and the work being done to restore their section of the Dry Creek. Next, guests depart to the Lake Sonoma Fish Hatchery for a private tour of the facility and to watch the site of mature steelhead and coho jumping the fish ladder, then gathering in shallow pools to enter the hatchery.

Available through March, the experience includes private transportation with a driver, guided tours and wine tasting for two at Martarano Family Winery. An option to e-bike to Martarano Family Winery and the hatchery is also available.

Wine Country Mushroom Foraging Adventure

Guests curious about mushroom hunting have the opportunity to visit Sonoma Wine Country’s Notre Vue Estate & Winery with an expert mushroom forager for a two-hour hands-on hunt for wild mushrooms. They’ll learn how to identify edible mushrooms, foraging etiquette, and more.

Following the hunt, Chef Shane McAnelly from Hotel Healdsburg’s acclaimed Dry Creek Kitchen uses the bounty to prepare a special course with the mushrooms in addition to an expertly prepared three-course meal. The experience is offered through February.

Winter Spa Experiences

The Spa Hotel Healdsburg is also offering new winter treatments so guests can feel relaxed and rejuvenated during their Wine Country escape. Inspired by the classic winter beverage, the "Hot Toddy for the Body" massage features a unique blend of cinnamon, cedarwood and hemp-derived organic CBD to melt tension and thaw winter-weary muscles and joints.

The "Arctic Berry Glacial Facial" uses an antioxidant-rich blend of arctic berries, lingonberry seed oil and hibiscus seed extract to promote cell regeneration, strengthen the skin barrier and reduce inflammation; it also includes an ice wine eye treatment to smooth wrinkles, increase elasticity and hydrate the delicate skin around the eyes.

Hotel Healdsburg and its sister property Harmon Guest House have additionally announced the following winter offers, available through March 31, 2024:

  • Hotel Healdsburg’s "Winter Bliss" package includes 15 percent off a stay, a welcome bottle of Sonoma wine, and $50 nightly property credit for standard room types and $100 property credit for suites to be enjoyed at The Spa, Dry Creek Kitchen, Spirit Bar or PizZando.
  • Harmon Guest House’s "Winter Warm Up" offer includes 20 percent off two or more nights, a welcome bottle of Sonoma County wine and a $50 dining credit to be used at The Rooftop or Spoonbar.
