Preferred Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Preferred Residences collection of residential-style properties in Mexico with the addition of the Marival Distinct Luxury Residences in Nuevo Vallarta.
Set along the Pacific Ocean in the Riviera Nayarit, Marival Distinct Luxury Residences is an all-inclusive resort with bespoke services. The property has 162 modern one- to four-bedroom residences, penthouses and villas, with an emphasis on catering to families. For adults, there are special adults-only areas, including a swimming pool, and unlimited entertainment for children is available through the resort’s kids’ club, which has game rooms, movie nights, tennis classes and baby-sitting services.
All told, the Preferred Residences collection added 13 new members from January 1 through October 31, 2019. In addition to the Marival, Preferred also added the Ultima Collection in France and Switzerland; The Guardsmen in London; and 26 Sunset Villa in Cape Town, South Africa.
Elsewhere in Mexico, Preferred recently added the Live Aqua Urban Resort San Miguel de Allende to its Legend Collection. That hotel, which opened in November 2018 in the UNESCO World Heritage site of San Miguel de Allende, is housed in a hacienda-style structure with historic touches such as elevated ceilings, arches, courtyards, art pieces and water features. In addition to 153 guestrooms and seven suites with unique elements such as glass-encased bathrooms, exposed brick, mosaic tiles and rustic wooden floors, the hotel is also home to Zibu, a fine-dining venue helmed by Mexican Chef Eduardo Palazuelos that serves up a modern take on Mexican cuisine, as well as the Spice Market, a pan-Asian culinary experience.
