The Seagate in Delray Beach, FL, has unveiled its multimillion-dollar, property-wide renovation, comprising significant enhancements to its lobby, 157 guestrooms and suites, event spaces, pool, beach club and dining outlets. These renovations, led by Brooklyn-based interior design firm Watts & Dray, mark the first major upgrades to the Delray Beach property since its opening in 2009.
Watts & Dray utilized a palette of sand-colored limewash paint with accents of Dutch blue alongside hand-painted delft tiles shipped from Amsterdam to add intricate detailing. To add character and comfort to the guestrooms and lobby, Watts & Dray worked with Indiewalls to curate art pieces and partnered with designer Marc Phillips to create luxury, hand-made accent rugs.
The luxury hotel also recently completed a renovation of its 18-hole championship golf course, led by architect J. Drew Rogers. The upgrades included the addition of reshaped bunkers, expansive new green complexes, practice facilities and enhanced water hazards among tree-lined fairways, all crafted to challenge the most experienced of golfers.
Good to know: Coming up, the property is expected to open Bourbon Steak Delray Beach by Michelin-starred chef Michael Mina in January 2025.
