This winter, travelers can experience the magic of Christmas in Italy with ArcheoRunning’s new walking tour. The new three-hour guided tour offers a journey through Rome during the festive season. The “Roman Holiday Christmas Lights Walking Tour” is available from December 1, 2024 to January 6, 2025.
Known for blending culture and fitness for all levels in its guided walking and running tours, ArcheoRunning was founded by Isabella Calidonna, an art historian and certified running coach passionate about showcasing Rome’s history and hidden treasures in an active way.
Guided by Calidonna, guests will explore Rome’s festive sights at night, including nativity scenes, Christmas markets, carousels and traditional holiday sweets throughout the historic city center. A highlight of the inaugural tour is the holiday lights that illuminate popular attractions such as Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso and Piazza Navona, side-streets and hidden gems of Italy’s capital. The tour will end at the Spanish Steps where travelers can marvel at one of the centerpiece trees of the city, a 42-foot-high design by Bvlgari.
Good to know: ArcheoRunning’s commitment to sustainability ensures that the festive illuminations are eco-friendly, allowing visitors to admire the beauty of Rome with a low environmental impact. Along the way, guests will hear stories, anecdotes and secrets of the “Eternal City.” Travelers will also be led to key photo-spots to capture memorable holiday moments.
The three-hour tour begins at €300 (approximately $324) for a private group of up to seven people. For travelers unable to make it to Rome this holiday season, ArcheoRunning offers gift cards for use towards its other options available throughout the year.
